custom sizes are available. If you check Tesla's website you'll see that there is about a 15% loss in range by going from factory 20's to 22's on a Model X. The factory wheels from Tesla are cast meaning very heavy. Added weight and rotational mass translates into reduced range. Our wheels are lightweight forged and weigh in at about 40lbs lighter than factory, meaning better range. In terms of safety, our Wheels have been engineered using FEA, road tested and exceed both TUV and SWL standards.

Thanks for the weight info. Would the wheel weight almost the only factor in reducing the range to go to 22 wheels? Rear tread width also go up from 275 to 285... but those 22 inch wheels look nice!

4-7% range effect: Tire size and rolling resistance
Tires with low rolling resistance will also play a significant factor in range. Rolling resistance is the amount of friction or resistance that tires cause when rolling. Wider and heavier tires contact the road more, causing more friction. 22" tires are about 10% heavier than a 20" oe size, but the width of 275 in the rear of a 20" vs 285 in the rear of a 22" is nominal in our opinion.

3% range effect: Tire inflation.
Simple: keep your tires inflated to Tesla spec.

*PIRELLI is coming out with a Scorpion Winter tire in oe 22" size! We will be one of the first to offer this as a TWP (tire and wheel package).

This.

22" wheels and tires have less sidewall between the wheel and the ground as well and thus have to be stiffer to support the vehicle weight which also increases rolling resistance.

The numbers are in and it's official! Not only are our 22" wheels lighter than the factory 22" or 20" wheels but we are happy to say that our 22" UP-02 wheels with tires are actually lighter than the factory 20" wheels with tires! Not an easy feat with huge 22" tires mounted to them! Not only that, we have actually found ways to optimize them to make them even lighter still, so anyone who has ordered or wishes to order in the future will receive an even lighter version! Looks are one thing, but this is maximum performance with no corners cut or expenses spared.

What are the offsets/widths on those UP-02 Wheels? Stock tire sizes? Any rubbing?

The UP-02's are designed specifically for the Tesla. Our standard widths and offsets are proprietary but we can make them in a specific width and offset if you have something in mind. The wheels use the factory tires, TPMS adapters, lug nuts, center caps and correct center bore. We have not experienced any rubbing with our UP-02s
