Very sleek finish on the Turbines. Painted or powdercoated?

TE's not my cup of tea on the S, but kinda nifty to see a legendary wheel on an S.

Powdercoated. Yeah, first glance I didn't like the tuner style on the car. Now that I've gotten used to them, they look right to me, especially in the 20" size. I think a thinner spoke CE28n would look better and less tuner styled.

I can't get over the weight of the wheels though, the lighter wheels are definitely felt on accel, decel, and turn-in. The car doesn't handle like my S2000s, but definitely doesn't feel like the pig that it did.

1. What u would expect of true 1 piece forged aluminum..like A lot.
2. I believe the offsets were 35...I had to drill holes to accommodate the hub nut as these were not made for the Tesla.
It just so happened to have the correct pcd, widths, and offset that I could add new rubbers and go!
3. Rides like Butta!....for those that don't know, Hunter Road force balance and their Hawk-eye alignment. There is a slight rub in a half turn when reversing, that's it.

Found a set of 20" TE37s in good offsets to fit. Quite a bit lighter than the OEM wheels. May end up selling the 21s. I had then redone in BBS Shadow chrome as well.

Great looking wheels, but beware...you're S is most likely overloading your front tires. Your tires have a lower load capacity than the factory tires. Be safe and hope you ride solo most of the time. For reference gross vehicle weight rating on a 85 is 5,710lbs.

Brand new Canadian turbine look 19" wheels, called "Replika R187".
Paid $210 Canadian per wheel, fits perfectly on hub, with Tesla TPMS and Tesla center caps.
(And before you ask, the center caps fit Tesla, but I used my OEM 5 spoke center caps as I forgot to pick up the Tesla grey caps!)

Again, $210 Canadian per rim!
