Looking for a little guidance with fitment for a 2020 Model S performance, stock air, drive in LOW setting 99% of time, not planning on lowering links. I would like to go to 20" from 21' factory twin turbines. Would you look at this and tell me your thoughts? My objective is to fill the wheel well and go as wide as possible without trimming. Thanks in advance to input from any members.

option 1
20x10 et 25 255/40 20
20x11 et 28 295/35 20

option 2
20x9 et 20 255/40 20
20x10.5 et 28 295/35 20

21” Uberturbines

Not a bad look, but IIRC all of the Uberturbines are the 114.5 bolt pattern for the 3 and Y, which wouldn't fit on an S without spacers beefy enough to do a pattern change.

I am thinking about ordering a custom square set of 21x9.5 et25 wrapped in 265/35/21. Opinions? Should I make them more or less aggressive?

Are you talking about a Gen3 (2021+)? The fenders are wider in the new redesign, 265 wouldn't fit up front in the older model.

If I'm thinking about it properly, et28 might be a bit too aggressive.....might have a 295 sticking past the fenders in that case. My rear wheels are et35, and they're pretty well lined up with the lip of the fender......but it still has an OEM look, not a "rolled fenders, 1mm gap" look. So you could go maybe a liiiiittle more aggressive, but not much IMO. If you're looking to push the envelope, i'd check in with some of the vendors on here to see what the extremes are that they have fit, and go from there.

Aggmeister, thanks for the info, et 35 on a 10.5 correct? Im looking at Ferrada FR8... so they offer 20x10.5 et 28 or et 40 or a 20x11 et 28 or et 33. You are correct, I would like to not poke out past the fenders if possible and give myself a smidge of clearance, not looking to rub if they are dusty

Hey guys! I'm new here and I need some help, I cant read or look at anymore posts, my eyes are bleeding at this point from binge surfing trying to figure out what rims I wanted! LOL I think I found a winner, or at lease I will know for sure by this weekend when I test fit the new rims, but if they don't fit, well then its back to the drawing board (please god no LOL)

So here is my question, because i have the P90D and its technically "all wheel driver" is it better to have the front or rear tires a little bigger? I'm going to use a staggered set up (9.0 & 10.5) this means tires will be different sizes/heights and have different rolling diameter, therefore they wont be exactly the same. SO what do you guy think? should the front or rear tire be bigger on all wheel drive (P90D) ?

PS, sorry if this question has already been asked, I've spent a week looking for rims that look good and will fit and are in stock, now I just need to order tires and don't have any brain power left to figure this out LoL thanks for the help and I'll post my pics when I get them on the car. cant wait to show you guys!!!

thanks again
Dan

Can anyone give me some input on these wheel specs for a plaid:
20x10 +30
20x11 +34
Based on reading these past 103 pages the offset is pretty aggressive but will fit fine.

Now what tire specs will work best?
285/35/20 and 335/30/20 or 305/30/20?

We use the following fitment and still have room to the outside (fender).
20x10+40 285/35/20
20x11+40 305/30/20

We have had customers slap a 10mm hubcentric spacer up front.
3mm more to the outside (20x11+37) would be our max depending on the rear tire width.

[12/11/21 update]
We're going to use a 315/30/20 tire on the rear of our CEO's Plaid. #fatboys
The 285/35/20 will have an outer diameter of 27.9", while the 315/30/20 will have a 27.5" outer diameter.
0.4" inches is nominal and within our 3% diameter tolerance.
There's only three tire models available in this setup: Pilot Sport 4S, Pirelli PZ4 & Toyo R888.
