I’d love for my roadster to not have side mirrors! U.S. to test mirrorless, camera-based systems in autos - Reuters
Finally. One of the obstacles is Gregory Fitch a researcher at Virginia Polytech that has been studying the behavior of drivers for years. He says there are two main issues. 1) where are the inside displays placed for the drivers to view? 2) reeducating drivers who learned to drive with outside mirrors.
I did, my model s wouldn’t power up correctly. It drove but the center display would not turn on and the mirrors would not unfold. It wasn’t bad, just glanced over my shoulder when changing lanes.
I don't have a clue what rear cameras have to do with outside mirrors or side cameras. And I don't know why you are asking me. You need not answer that. The answer is meaningless to me anyway.
I guess the interesting thing is that they still require rear view mirrors (in cars - i assume). Went the Taycan came out as opposed to the mission-e I was “what did they do”. They made many changes. Including adding side mirrors.. the prototype looked so much better. I’d like to see a roadster without them.
