Side mirrors stuck in reverse view

Anyone else observe this glitch?... when changing from reverse to drive, the side mirrors get stuck in the downward facing view. They’re supposed to shift up when you put it into drive. This started for me with the recent software update.

My passenger mirror looked strangely out of place...I guess this could be the cause.

I have the same issue. I hit my profile button to correct it until they fix it with a software update.

When that happened to us after a long-ago software update we reprogrammed the entire mirror reverse behavior from scratch and the programming then held.

I've seen it intermittently since I got the car. I readjust the mirror, without saving to the profile, and it works fine the next time. Maybe once every twenty trips or so.

I’ve had this happen in both the S and the 3. Usually I adjust the mirrror then reatore the profile to get it to go back.

It happened to my loaner MS. My wife was driving it so she moved the seat. When I started backing up in the driveway, I moved the seat back and hit the save profile button. So I saved it with the side mirror pointing down. After that, when I changed it to Drive, the mirror did not come back up. I have to readjust it and save it again.

My wife likes the downward view for backing up, but I don’t think it’s worth the trouble. Both our S and our week old 3 have had this stuck-facing-downward issue. On my profile I’m going to stop using it.

I have the same issue as well, I think it is only when the car has been sitting in the cold over night and it doesn't happen every morning. Only the driver's side mirror gets stuck, not the passenger's (UK).

This is still an issue. Tesla needs to get this fixed. It has been a known issues for at least a couple months now.
