Signature #1 delivered today

Congratulations, Ken! Your wait is over, and ours must be nearly so.

We had the same dilemma as FlasherZ when configuring: I loved Sig Red on my 2012 S85 but, oh, that blue! In the end, the blue won out, by a whisker. It'll look good in the driveway, next to the MC Red P85D...if they ever sit that long.

Details, pretty please, when you have the time...

Congratulations Ken. This photo seemed appropriate for the delivery of the first Sig:

Would be cool to see your Model X on this beach.

I sure hope Bonnie posts more than two pictures

The Citrix guy (early Founders' series) posted a ton of pics in iCloud -- it's in one of the threads here. I'm more interested in user feedback on the functional aspects of the car (the Falcon wings, driving dynamics, range, HVAC, seat comfort, cargo, etc), but that obviously takes more time to gather.

Sig #1 is blue with the tan leather interior.

Why did we chose blue? There were a few other factors besides that I think the blue better looking than the Sig Red. Our Model S (Sig #44) is Sig Red, and our Roadster is
also a deep metallic red. Our blue 2013 RAV4-EV was totaled in an accident and replaced with a white one, so blue was an underrepresented color in our stable. We really
didn't want another red Tesla...

Lauren is the same specialist who delivered our Signature #44 Model S years ago.

She is in charge of West coast deliveries now. She was my hiring manager when I helped with deliveries in Seattle last June. Like pretty much every employee I meet, hard-working, personable and smart.

Ken, thanks for what you have shared with us so far. If/when you get the time and inclination, I'd love to hear more about how the X compares with the S, so that those of us with an S (probably a high proportion of potential early buyers) can decide if it's worth switching (I am currently planning on just sticking with the S, but happy to hear about X advantages that might change my mind before Tesla gives me a deadline to lock in my X reservation). It would also be interesting, though perhaps of less general use, to learn about how the early X delivery/ownership experience compares to that of the early S.

Now *that*'s service.

One of the quirks discovered during delivery was that the charge rate only went up to 48A (not 72A). Hmm. Was my car built with a 48A charger??? Investigation during delivery showed that it was built with a 72A, but there was a software problem that limited the car to 48A. I awoke this morning to a new 7.0 code build that fixed the problem.
