I might be wrong, but I think the new referral prizes that seem odd for a current car owners are there because the scheme now encompasses the PowerWall/ Solar referrals too. So the referrer may not have a Tesla car.

I also plan to donate a Tesla for kids as a referral prize for the fundraiser my sister is hosting but I still hope to get another referral so I can get the wall connector.
