I am seeing silver metallic color on Tesla order page. Is this new?

Really? Well, yes and no. Silver was one of the six original colors, but Tesla dropped it months ago. Sounds like it's back!

I only see Midnight Silver Metallic, not the original silver color. This may be what OP is referring to, in which case this has been an optional color all along.

The color you see is called “Midnight Silver Metallic” and is a color that has always been available for the Model 3, and has been available for several years for the S/X.

In an attempt to prevent TMC members from suffering deep mental anguish, yesterday I updated the thread title to make clear that the lighter silver paint color is not the color the OP “found”.

Honestly if silver came back, I’d probably sell my midnight silver and grab a real silver....in like a minute.
