Silver Plaid S; not a wrap, maybe a re-paint?

My first IRL sighting of a Plaid S in a parking lot in West Vancouver, BC. And it was silver. It was not a wrap, so I assume the owner had it re-painted since Tesla has not offered this silver color for several years now.

It's a wrap. Door handles also wrapped satin silver.
I have a front clear wrap on my X. On this silver S I looked very closely at the edges of the panels and could not see evidence of a wrap. I did see evidence of a repaint.
Looks old. Especially with those "un capped" 19" Frankensteins.
This is a new S as it had the yoke wheel AND the new interior style with the center screen placed horizontally. Check the interior photo I posted.

Right. But my eyes a few inches from the edges of the body panels and door handles confirmed it.

Your eyeball could be 1mm from the edge of the panel and it wouldn't matter. A really good ($$$) wrap goes around all edges. You would have to start removing trim/lights to know for sure.

In 2021, you'd have to be absolutely nuts to do a satin/matte paintjob. The cost of prep and difficulty of maintaining it makes zero sense. It's cheaper, looks better, and is easier to maintain a wrap.
