SIM card type readability variance?

I have a set of FLAC songs that were being stored on a SIM card. I stuck it into a USB reader and my S figured it out perfectly. It’s older, I think a microSDHC but it’s not marked well and my eyes are old. Definitely micro.

It’s too small for all my FLACs so I bought a 128gb microSDXC UHS-I card and put everything on that. Stick the USB into the tesla—same USB i used to transfer the music via the sim reader—and it recognizes the USB but says no music no files.

Is the different spec tricking the USB reader in the Tesla? Is there a SIM style that’s built to read music and particularly FLAC better? I’ve read in other threads adding a version or date folder may force a re-read of the drive structure. Any other ideas before I just put it all on a regular USB stick?
