Slacker Plus Benefit (ad-free, unlimited skips) relevant?

First off - I don't want to re-hash the audio-quality debate. There are 2 other benefits of Slacker Plus - ad-free and unlimited skips). But I don't hear many folks complaining about ads OR limited skipping on their Teslas.

And I don't have my Model 3 yet - still waiting to sell my old car first.

Can someone who has regular Slacker (un-paid) comment on whether they hear ads at all? Or whether they are limited in how many times they can skip? Just trying to understand whether buying slacker plus is worth it - or if those are not really an issue with Tesla's accounts.

[Unpaid/standard Tesla account here] I've never heard an ad, and while I haven't skipped many songs, I've never run into a skip limit either.

Thanks! So then there is really no point in upgrading to Plus yourself (unless you want to use it on other devices). Good to know. I got an email about a promo to upgrade to Plus for 12 months for $9.99. But we have Spotify which we use elsewhere. So I only considered it for the Model 3.

Had the car for 7 months. Never heard a single ad and can skip as many times as you like. Audio quality is also very good. Model 3 has some really nice speakers (on the premium interior anyway, can't comment on the standard).

Just picked up my LR RWD M3 on Friday. I asked the Tesla rep about this. Was told the first year of ownership includes Slacker Premium. Apparently after the first your can upgrade if you want to keep premium.

You were told wrong: only Slacker Plus is included. You can verify that by trying to play the same song twice in a row. Only premium will let you repeat a song more often than once every 24 hours (plus is more like radio minus the ads and with the ability to pick the starting song of a station).
