Operating a US model overseas with a mobile hot-spot with a USA IP
As advised here on the board, I sent away for my Tesla Slacker Credentials and received them today. I downloaded the Slacker App and logged into Slacker on my I-phone. I both added a nice playlist into "My Music" as well as upgrading to 320KBPS. When I entered my car the screen conveniently was set to Slacker Log In.
For some reason I am unable to log-in. The message simply says "Using the Tesla account" but it keeps spinning and does not login. Since I was able to login into the website using the same credentials, I assume its not the account. Now I feared I lost my Slacker that was working, albeit without 320KBPS and other "bells and whistles". I made a free account and tried that in the car. The free account failed with a message that it was not a valid account but then an option to use Tesla account popped up. I tried that and while it did not log in, it somehow now works without a log-in.
Anybody have any ideas or advice?
