Forgive me if this is covered already, but this is my first time charging to 100%....is it normal to take this long towards the end on a Tesla wall unit?

Yes. This happens with all batteries, even your phone. It's to protect the battery.

The image you are showing indicates you still pull 11kW which is the max on AC... But the time estimate does show that it will slow down for the reason Dirty Tesla indicates

Now remember to set max charge to 80-90%. Only blip it to 100 right before. 250+ mile road trip.

Were you running the climate control or anything? That'd definitely impact charge time.

    Why specifically 250+?
Drive an X from fully charged for about 25 miles and you’re down to around 90% or less, which is fine.

going on a 50 mile road trip, an 80-90% charge is enough. Going on a 300 mile road trip? You need the range, so go to 100%.
