Been doing a lot of reading and watching youtube re: Smart Summon. (Bored). One of the aspects that seems common (with smart summon failures), appears to be side of car visibility, or rather, blind spots. Most of the Smart Summon "incidents" seem to occur on the sides. Videos or reports of scraping a post in a parking garage. Vidoes or reports of backing out of a garage and scraping the side of the entry way of the garage door opening. Cars going up onto curbs. And my own personal experience of watching my car turn its front wheels too soon when exiting a parking space and the rear wheel going up and ontop of the curb/grassy median area that the car was parked next to.

Seems as if improvements could be made if the Model S had an additional pair of cameras or sensors somewhere far back on the rear quarter panel facing forwards to be able to fully capture the side of the car and anything adjacent to the side of the car. As it is now, seems as if there are blind spots.

IF the ultimate goal is to get Smart Summon (and reverse smart summon) to get to the next level of autonomy, needs to have better visibility.
