Smart Summon Now Available in Canada?

Hello All,

LR RWD M3 with about 70k kms. Picked her up in June 2018. VIN 28,xxx

Not sure when this happened, but I noticed tonight that Smart Summon is now available on the phone app.

Was I sleeping when this happened? When did this come through?

I tried it tonight at home, but it says Smart Summon not available on public roads.

I don't have FSD option.

Yes.

Really don't know how I missed this, but glad I have it now.

Will definitely try it tomorrow at my work parking lot.

Yes it comes with EAP.

Also note that Tesla recently unlocked for Canadians the "REQUIRE CONTINUOUS PRESS" option (to set it to NO). This allows you to one click your keyfob/phone to Classic Summon your car back or forth without having to hold down the button in order to get the car to move.

I noticed that yesterday when I released my finger from pressing on going forward, the car carried on. It wasn't clear to me why until I looked at it more closely - caught me off-guard.

Do we not have the "Come to me" option?

I have been playing with the smart summon all week, but I need more practice to get it closer.

If you enable standby mode you will get come to me. There is another way as well which is to hit the target icon in the smart summon window, then the mode will switch from go to Target to go to my location. The second method works even with standby mode turned off.
