Smart Summon now out in Australia

Seeing various reports that smart summon has now been enabled in Australia on 2019.36.2.1.

Excellent news! Was worried we wouldn’t see it due to regulatory issues!

Not doubting you but where are these reports? Teslafi has not instances of it being rolled out in Australia and it looks like the roll out was limited and has largely ceased. .

I have the update - about to go to the local shopping centre with a big carpark to give it a test!

One pedal driving is immediately noticeable - took me a moment to realise what was going on when I started backing out of the garage!

An interesting note to this is the "Summon with Key Fob" update, it was on a Model 3 update screen, but this may end the issue we've had in Australia for years of having to use your phone for Summoning out of a garage (ie. dumb summon) and the issue of not being close enough to the vehicle.

Nice to get a feature we're sorely lacking, but NoA is really what I'm looking forward to. Smart summon is too gimmicky for me.

Thanks...unfortunately he did not scroll enough to see if we got navigate on autopilot...which is the one we are all hanging out for, i think.

and yep teslafi is showing 2019.36.2.1 is now being rolled out to countries including Australia and NZ. Very small number so far. Must have pulled the initial release of 36 cause of bugs.

Pull out your Key Fob, place it on the windscreen, then walk back and Summon your car from as far away as you like.

Yep, gimmick. Can't believe everyone is so keen to show off what will be a mostly useless and annoying feature, especially if used in car parks, shopping areas etc getting in everyone's way. This will be another "disrupter" technology, just walk peeps.
