I've noticed recently that my smart summon has slowed WAY down. It used to be almost too fast for me to feel comfortable, and now the opposite: it proceeds at a truly agonizing crawl. Now it takes so long to get anywhere that I usually end up disengaging or running over and rescuing it, because other cars have shown up and gotten it into a bind.

Anyone else seeing this? HW3 Feb 2020 Model 3 LRAWD

When it's cold out, it slows down. Somewhere around 40 degrees. I'm sure someone here might know the actual number.

WHAT!!!! it was already so horribly slow that any reasonably healthy person could walk to their car 10X faster!!!! Other than a "parlor trick" it has never served one purpose to me or my wife in either of our cars

    This is the correct answer.

Goes slower in colder weather. I asked Tesla last year and the engineer said it was due to the possibility of ice. So they are just being overly cautious

    Thanks, that's super helpful.

Before the cold weather, it was not slow at all - almost too fast for me to supervise it carefully from afar.

And yeah, it's just a toy in its present state, but I like trying it once in a while. I'm hopeful that eventually they'll get around to making it really solid, after the FSD beta goes to wide release.
