Smart Summon: would have made it or body shop visit averted?

At local Sam’s. When I viewed the path, going into the pickup lane wasn’t shown as the path it would take. But obviously that was the path it chose. (This time). I’ve successfully used smart Summon here before, having the car come from same parking spot each time but it has always gotten a few feet in front of that column, then gone to the left of that column and then moved straight ahead with no issue. This time it chose to try to go to the right/into the pickup lane. Also, not the angle of the front wheel and which direction the car was heading..

I always watch it (and glad I do) as this time? Not so sure it wouldn’t have scraped up nearly my entire drivers side. (I stopped smart summon by releasing hold of the summon button on my phone in the app).
Or maybe not?

That does look like it would scrape if you didn't intervene/stop it. That pickup lane looks unnecessarily risky even for human drivers, and already looks like it's been scraped up against many times before. As for smart summon, since it's on the fly and not pre-programmed routing, many factors will change what realtime path it chooses, no matter what route the app shows.
