We are bunch of tesla fans and have decided to create some free apps that will help improve the tesla experience.

We are creating a suite of apps that enable you to use your tesla dashboard to check emails, sms, turn on your home alarm etc. It is IoT with email connectivity. Check your work email or personal email and reply using voice/speech.

We are looking for early beta users. Please help us make this work. Connect with us at www.connecttesla.com

Also it would be great if you could vote below on what you would like to see first - Connect Tesla

Since getting our first Tesla in early 2013, and every time we rent a much less expensive car on vacations that has better smartphone integration, the highest priority features would be voice-to-text and text-to-voice for text messages and e-mail, so that these features can be used by the driver, while driving.

Transferring the functionality from the smartphone display to a browser window on the console display, and then requiring touches on the console display is an improvement, but may not be enough for us to use.

What we really need is the long promised "screen mirroring" Musk talked about several years ago - whether it's a combination of Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, 3rd party software or Tesla's own implementation - it probably doesn't matter - as long as we can get better smartphone integration, allowing safer use of text messaging/e-mail while driving - and bring smartphone apps to the console display, and hopefully the car's voice interface.

Did you find some hidden APIs? Cause Tesla disabled anything related to video/audio input and output in their browser. So things like "Apple Face Time/Video Calling" and "and reply using voice/speech" are not even remotely possible. Unless, again, you found some hidden APIs.
