Well guys in somewhat of a twist of irony, the City of Bradenton has decided to no longer sustain its sustainability program. My position was largely grant-based and given the fact that many federal grant programs are winding down, the City thought that sustainability should follow suit and go the way of the dodo. Politics and bureaucracy aside, its a shame that Bradenton's administration did not see energy efficiency and conservation as a priority for the new fiscal year (though I trust that will change in time). Yet as the saying goes, when one door closes another door opens, and I'm happy to report that idiom is playing out in my case. On Friday, I accepted a position with Tesla Motors as a Delivery Experience Specialist for Florida. Beginning July 2nd, the company will be flying me out to CA for 6 - 8 weeks of training before sending me back to FL where I'll be based out of the Dania Beach location. Who knows, one day I just might be showing up in your driveway with a brand new Model S in tow. I'm definitely looking forward to the opportunity and hope that one way or another, we can all stay in touch. Of course if there's any way I can be of service to you in my new role, please don't hesitate to ask.
