So much for unlimited supercharging

I ordered my P3D Model 3 on July 29th with the expectation I would be getting unlimited Supercharging. I picked up my Tesla today, and when I asked the delivery specialist about the unlimited Supercharging, she had no idea what I was talking about. On my Tesla page, it shows that I have "Pay per use Supercharging". I have yet to get a return phone call or email response from anyone throughout this purchase process, so I have no confidence in the Tesla customer service people to get this right. Any of you early order people having a similar problem?

...unlimited Supercharging...

Did you order from a referral link?

---

Never mind, you don't need referrals because it says:

"All Model 3 Performance orders placed before August 1, 2018 will be given unlimited Supercharging, no referral required. "

I think it's a bureaucracy bug that is not catching up with the current policy. I would call the support number and Tesla will make it right eventually.

Because you ordered before August 1st, you did not need a referral code and you will be receiving Unlimited Supercharging. The Tesla account takes two months before you'll see the change from pay per use per Tesla. You can go to a SuperCharging station and if it doesn't ask you to update your account with a credit card, you have unlimited SuperCharging. Congrats on a great car!!!

Since it didn't ask for a credit card today, I guess I'm good. On a related matter, it would be nice if Tesla charged the car above 50% for the delivery. I only had 140 miles with a 150 mile drive.

If you have a credit card linked to your account, I don’t think it will ask for a card.

Check your account for SC charges.

Mine was sitting at 90% when I saw it from the app while waiting for the delivery to happen. So I guess YMMV based on your Tesla delivery center.

@ToddV

Have patience and do not worry. There have been Tesla purchases of the S and X variety that were not qualified nor promised free supercharging.

They even received billed charges on their credit cards.

Months later, Tesla decided to grandfather them in and refunded previously incurred charges.

Tesla was not obligated to do that but they did regardless.

Nothing to worry about based on prior experience.

I'm sure they just wanted to you get the entire experience of stopping at a supercharger on day 1 :)

We're still waiting on our first Tesla. A Model S. Just got the call about deliver date.
