So what happens when multiple X's park next to each other?

In both the conventional and minivan door case, you can't have both open at the same time either on the same side in the same scenario. With the falcon doors, they might be able to adjust to fit. However, as others put it, just avoid the scenario by not opening the doors at the same time.

... and if the cars were parked close enough to each other that the doors would collide.
So, two Xs, arriving at the same time, parked side by side, extremely close to each other, both needing to open the rear doors at the same time to let out adult passengers who lack the mobility needed to dip their head a bit (like they'd have to do in a normal car).
The answer to the thread's question is "They'd either open fully, or, if the cars are extremely close to each other, they'd open most of the way".

Lets say one X parks and opens the Falcon Doors. Then another X parks next to it, and opens its' doors. But they are too close so second car doesn't open all the way... stops with doors under the first cars. Now the first car is "stuck"? Can't close the doors because car 2 is blocking them?

Yes probably. But again, who does that? Just don't.
Try to park farther and also try to wait 30 seconds for the other car to finish unloading. We live in a society and need to coexist peacefully. After all, when you're in a Tesla, what's the rush to get out?

Please mentally flip this image 90 in the sagittal plane (not sure if this means anything to the non-medical professionals, my point is imagine the cars flipped on their noses). What you have now is a situation with two regular cars with regular doors, where one has pulled in a little bit further than the second, the first one has opened a side door first and then the other one opens its door behind. Now the first car is stuck, it can't reverse out of it's parking spot with the door open (it would hit the other car's door) and it can't close its door (it would hit the other car's door). Now ask yourself do you often find yourself in this predicament?

I just think that the Model X takes up more space than a normal vehicle when it's doors are opened. This is compounded by the fact that you are going to have times where up to 12 model x's will be forced to park directly next to each other with very little space in between. Also a lot of indoor superchargers (London, Hong Kong) have very little lateral room so parking an X next to others will be tricky.

Will the Model X be able to open both rear doors when parked in an indoor supercharger?

Yeah those spots are tight. But again back to the topic: what's the difference between falcon doors and regular doors in this respect - you are going to have to be very careful opening a regular door if park next to another car in a spot like this, and I can guarantee you it won't be possible to open the doors of two adjecent cars at the same time, regardsless of if these are regular doors opening to the side or falcon doors opening to the side-and-up.

You're right, the benefits of the fwd doors seem to be minimal indoors and when parking next to other model x's. The fwd doors take up more space and time while also compromising head room for the middle seat. Tight parking is going to be a daily occurrence with the superchargers indoors and the fwd doors will exacerbate this issue.

With those pedestals in the London supercharger it looks like the fwd doors may not be able to open at all.

While they may not be better in this situation they're not automatically worse. They take up more space vertically (duh) but absolutely less space laterally (compared to a regular door) if judged in the position they need to be for some to be able to actually get in or out.

How often are you actively taking more than one passenger to a Supercharger station?

The front doors of a MX aren't falcon-winged. It seems like most people forget this fact, or have some excruciatingly long daily 250+ mile carpool commutes.

2nd car can drive a little backwards or ask a driver nearby to close his right door.
Maybe all Model X owners when parked near Model X should only open left door?)) just like ships do with right of way.

I don't understand what Elon means by "they will recognize it as an X and open accordingly". Is he saying that an X can recognize when another X is located very close to it? And then it will do...what?

More than likely, an animated falcon wing tip bump will occur, followed by a wingshake handshake. An amazing lightshow from the tail- and headlights follows.

Seriously, though, it was a pretty cryptic tweet.

The two owners will engage in endless conversation about Tesla and the MX's. They will be there for such a long period of time enjoying their conversation they will loose all track of time. In the end they will laugh heartily at how the door thing never came up!
