So you can’t install an update while supercharging :(

I’d thought I’d save some time by running the update while supercharging today, but turns out this can not be done.

I mean it’s tempting and all, but the car also doesn’t charge for the majority of the update process so you’d be hogging a charger for 20+ minutes.

Beg your family to let you stay at the charger for a bit of extra time to both charge and update :D. May take a bribe from nearby amenities.

Good note, thanks for posting.

Recently I was wondering about something else related to updates - if the car will detect and download them if it's in Valet mode. I figured out that the answer is yes. But to install, you have to disable Valet mode. Reason why I was wondering is because I wrote some code to put my car in valet mode when parked at certain locations, including at home. So I was concerned that maybe it wouldn't get updates...but it hasn't been an issue.
