Software downgraded test drive model?

I purchased a slightly used Model X 100D from the dealer that had been a test drive mule for a couple months (3000 miles).

I’m wondering, aren’t all test drive models P models, to show off ludicrous speed? If so, is it possible they did just a software downgrade to sell me the vehicle at a lower price?
