It's probably 36.2, I drove a loaner MS100D two days ago and it prompted me to install after leaving the SC. But try!

I’ve been skipped over to the newest update before in the past after having an older version for a while. Makes sense to jump to V9 at this point.

I would assume so because Tesla - according to Teslafi - isn't updating many people to 36.2 these days. If 36.2 is required and they are preparing a big push we would be seeing tons of people pushed to 36.2 but instead only ~30% of Teslafi's sample is on 36.2

Did you wait for it to finish? If you’re impatient and check the CID while it’s updating, it throws these kinds of random messages

i got the same from a recent update. Then i just called them and a couple days later it re-installed properly.

You're in a rush. It hasn't finished installing yet. Did you get notification from your phone app to say the update is finished?

TeslaFi is ~40% now and a ton of cars just got 36.2. Hmmm.

Someone earlier suggested you need to upgrade to .36 before .39/.40. While you can easily skip updates normally, there may be something required by 36 before 40.

.36.2 took a good bit longer to install for me than previous updates. That might make sense if they also staged some of the framework for v9 with it.

My car was in some deep sleep, had to go open the door, when I pressed the brake I got the systems powering up message, after a few I rebooted with the scroll wheels and it connected to WiFi and immediately started a big download. Fingers crossed...

Probably what’s happening is what just happened to me. Was 36.2 and not v9
