Software Update 2018.39.x (Version 9)

Just installed 39.7! I don't think I have anything to add about the update that hasn't already been covered in the previous 32 pages
Heading out to watch First Man soon, which I think will fit my Tesla/Model3/spaceship theme for the night quite nicely.
I'm really looking forward to seeing what Tesla and SpaceX accomplish in the future! Good luck to everyone waiting for their update!

Another bug:

On 39.7 when I get into car, Slacker has a “Loading error” and you have to tap retry to get it started. Never had this issue on 36.2, 39.5 or 39.6.

C’mon Tesla, I didn’t sign up and pay $60K to beta test your updates for you.

That’s not a 39.7 bug. It’s across many Teslas right now. I still have 36.2 and I have the slacker bug. Called my service centre and they said many people are complaining about it. Think it’s server side

Finally got it today!

Now I need to find a thumb drive. Work banned them, so I haven’t used one for awhile. Anyone tried using a usb drive with WiFi for the dash cam? Wondering if this would allow you to pull the files with your phone, over WiFi...

Folks- Version 9 autopilot on anything other than highway is not on par w HW1 AP mobileye in my opinion currently. Pretty disappointing since I bought the car 2 years ago based upon my experience w HW1. Prior software to v9 was ahead.

We are now behind again...2 steps forward one step back.

Got my update at 5am

Woke up to a nice surprise that my car had a SW update available. Ran to the garage to start it and about 10 minutes later I got a message on my phone that the SW update failed. All it said in the car was the the install didn’t complete and to wait for a new update to be sent to my car.

So bummed. Anyone else have this problem and if so how long before another update was sent?

Not really a fan of them burying the Nav settings in main car menu. Too many taps to change prefs now.
Also not a fan of the nav orientation button being all the way over on the right.

Posted this on reddit last night. I was able to find a browser based game, so we might not just be limited to the Atari games. Was a good way to pass time while charging.

I woke up to the Software update this morning as well, AWD non P. Only took about 15 minutes or so for it to finish. sadly I wont be able to play around with it until later tonight as I had to start it right before walking into work. Hope everyone else gets their update today!

If the system would just remember the orientation I keep resetting it to, I'd be fine with it..

This is fun to watch on TeslaFi. M3 is approaching 50% on 39.7 and looks like the update has been focused on the 3 over the past 24 hours. I wouldn't be surprised to see 75%+ on 39.7 by Sunday morning.

Got my 39.7 update this morning, went out and played with it for 20 minutes or so. It's nice. I don't have an issue with most of the changes I've seen so far, but I'll make a separate post for a couple things. In the default high scores for Missile Command, I saw Elon Musks initials in about 4th place (ERM).

Aside from the web browser, my single biggest issue was that leaning over the console for a while messing with everything, my back was hurting a bit when I went to sit up straight again.

It'd be nice if we could plug an Xbox controller into a USB port to control the games.
