Software Update 2018.48.x

The rest of the notes... Also, I see my (current) Android app is 3.7, so that confirms that the feature to control the seat heating requires an as-yet-unpublished app update.

"When you precondition your car using the mobile app, you can now turn on, off, or adjust any of your seat heaters. If available in your car, you’ll also be thte to turn on your steering wheel heater. Note: Requires mobile app version 3&O or greater."

That's nice but what I truly need is to adjust the front windshield heaters + mirrors and back window.

Moderator note (bmah): This is the first post of another thread discussing software update 2018.48.12.1, which has been merged into this thread because it's basically discussing the same thing now.

Just installed version 2018.48.12.1. No Pole Position and no USB controller support added to my car. I guess those updates are for AP 2.5 and above cars only. I have a Model S90D AP 2.0 car. Release notes in pictures.

2018.48.12.1 d6999f5 Shows on TeslaFi with 32 cars
Just got it here, as well.

-Emissions testing mode
-Romance mode
-Climate remain on after exiting (>= 20% battery)
-Seat/steering wheel control via app
-Pole Position (with wheel/pedal/USB controls)

It's great.

I just installed 48.12.1 and don’t see pole position or USB controller support. Am I being trolled or is my car being left out? See gif below:

We got the same update, 48.12.1. Installed earlier tonight but haven’t checked out yet. Also AP 2.0 so guess no TeslAtari game for our MS either.

I did notice reading the notes that the Emission test sound can be programmed to come from a selected seat, which some people had hoped might be the case but prior to this didn’t sound like it was going to happen. I’ll be more interested in trying out the fireplace and checking out the fireplace heat (OMG can’t believe they thought of that too) while listening to the music selections. Think I read some Al Green and/or Marvin Gaye.

I was also wondering WHY they set the pole position game on Mars.
My idea is that by removing the background with it's sprite zooming feature they saved a lot of machine cycles and made it finally playable.
But they ended up with a flat mono-colour background, hence the clever idea: "make it orange and call it Mars".

That's my guess too. Would be another HW2.5-only feature :(

HW2.5 and MCU2 are independent of each other. There are Teslas that have HW2.5 and the older Tegra 3 processor.

Looks like USB controller support and Pole Position are only available on MCU2 cars. So it’s possible that a HW2.5 car won’t have these features (if it has the older processor)

Another example would be the dashcam feature. There are HW2.5 cars with the older MCU they have the dashcam.
