Software Update Failed

I’m on my 5th Tesla and in all my years of ownership, I’ve never seen a software update failure notice. Any ideas or thoughts?

I think you should wait for a new update

I had a failed update on previous car, but it bricked the MCU and the service center had to reload. At least yours failed gracefully.

That's what happened to my last OTA update and I had to take it in for service.

does the car have to connect to a wireless network to update? i see that yellow arrow for weeks but cant seem to download any updates...i thought it was automatic over teslas wifi

Yes, you need to connect to WiFi. Hotspot on your phone will work too. The Tesla connection uses standard 3G/4G cellular access.

I had this happen to me on a FSD beta update. I just chatted with service/support on their website and they fixed it OTA for me and it redownloaded with no issues.

I tried using hotspot (I was traveling) last night... failed 4 times in a row. Got to my home at noon today and upgrade was successful 50 min later.
