So I had seen that some of the guys in the states had received an update but wasn’t sure if it got pulled from some of the comments. I just had a notification that I have an update but when checking the app it’s still stating .48 when .50 was the version mentioned in other threads. Feeling ill at the mo so can’t be bothered to go outside to check the car itself, but anyone else seen an update today/tonight?

Tesla firmware updates aren’t like iPhone updates where the new update is available to all users en mass.

Instead it is rolled out to random cars and it appears to be a lottery which car receives the update. A firmware tracker such as firmware.teslafi.com can give you feel where you fit in the range of versions out there.

I really received 2017.50 yesterday from .44. It seems tesla mainly update people every 2-3 revisions unless there is something specifically important. Probably to get some A/B style testing.

The only new feature since .44 to note is that 50 now activates easy entry on seat belt release not when put in PARK.

Checked the car this morning and the update was available so it’s currently running through.

Update complete, am on version 2017.50 2275226 which some have issues with as version 2017.50.1 ceae3b8 is out now due to some issues with the original .50 version so will see later how the car goes

Same version as me. From what I can gather the .1 only fixes the install issues some have found rather than it being a newer version of actual functionality. Does your Spotify account still work?

I updated from .44 without any problems to 2017.50.

However, I can't login to my Spotify account AND front sensors still intermittently.

Yes, Spotify still works. Signal is crap around my way so struggle to get 3G at times but it is working

I got an update yesterday and I did not update it right away as I was busy doing errands. But after I got back to the car it’s gone. Any chance it’ll come back?

You may have dodged a bullet. It was pulled and a new one issued which you’ll get ‘at some point’. It was disabling some owners autopilot features.

You always update to the newest version, which is 50.2 and has the Christmas Easter Egg from Elon.

It’s a bit of fun but always attracts negative comment as well eg ‘where are the auto wipers!’
