I love this video. Check out the Illinois State University's solar car pit up against my Model S.

Here are the facts I learned after Solar Car Vs Model S - Watt a race!:

The Illinois State University solar car team has built an incredible solar car. Here are some neat facts:

It is a street legal car.
It is powered entirely by the sun.
It can run for about 2 hours in complete darkness.
The ISU team has gotten it up to 65mph.

This is such a cool car and I have to admit, I had a hard time keeping up with it in the video below!

Here are the facts I learned after Solar Car Vs Model S - Watt a race!:

While it is cool, there is a few things to note. Since they are going around in circles, the Model S can't exactly move at full speed, even more so it seems the driver is intentionally slowing down (cause last thing they want to do is run over the other car). We also must remember that the outer rim of a circle has a longer distance to travel then the inner rim of the circle. So the Model S is actually traveling more distance then the other car.

Never the less, it is interesting.
