Solar - Cost effective in PA?

I'd consider this if it was COST effective.

We use about 2,000 kWh/month.

PA electricity is quite cost effective at total bill: $0.1080 / kWh.

Can dropping $28,500.00 + tax? Ever make sense in PA?

Pa does nothing to encourage electric cars or Home Solar installations.
You got to just be happy with the Federal credits.
Where in Pa do you live and have you had other installer quotes that you may want to share?

I got PA money back for my Model S. Your electricity seems way too cheap. In addition to generation you also have to pay for distribution. In Sewickley, it over 24c/kWh.

Yea, there's no statewide incentives in PA and our electricity rates are relatively low. But we do have full net metering, so you can always break even pretty quickly if you get a good price.

Philly now has a $.20/W rebate, but I assume you're elsewhere.

Check Tesla's website for their set online pricing, it was $2.50/W in PA when I checked it a couple months back and that's a good deal. Get yourself a 12kW array at $30k - $9k = $23k and you're in business.
