    Heads up in case you've missed this - Solar Impulse is due to land in Hawaii in 43 minutes from when I'm posting this after about 118 hours since departing Nagoya. It appears plane is in holding pattern awaiting sunrise. Link here: http://www.solarimpulse.com/leg-8-from-Nagoya-to-Hawaii

    A bit of a bummer. Wonder if there's liquid cooling involved a la the Model S battery pack?!

    More info on their batteries here: http://www.solarimpulse.com/infocard-Batteries The fourth photo shows them winching a battery pack. Doesn't really talk about temperature control except that they insulated them to keep them from getting too cold.
