FWIW, Tesla told us last week that it could take 30-45 days to get PTO from PG&E.
That is OK my system is fully operational, I am not waiting for the PTO, I run it on self service mode for the last week with no connection to the grid, (main breaker is down) so far so good. I understand that I am leaving some money on the table by not being able to send excess power to the grid but it is a small price to pay for 35-45 days.

Why are we walking on eggshells to not piss off our utility providers? They're given risk-free money and can therefor be treated like something just shy of a slave.
