    Interesting coincidence that there's an electric substation and a small generation plant at that address in Columbus today.

    There's also the "comparative advantage" POV -- Britain has an extraordinary wave-energy resource that will be far cheaper to tap than your solar resource. Leaving aside the issue of clouds, Britain is rather far north, making the angles work rather badly for you. Give me ten years, though, and I'll be generating all the power the UK and Ireland can want from your waves. We'll need some more transmission from Cornwall and Scotland, though.
