Curious whether anyone has signed up for SolarCoin. We just installed a PV/PW system with SMA inverters, and the SMA portal has an option to sign up for SolarCoin. Doesn't look like it's worth much though. Info at SolarCoin
I signed up a few years ago. It's not worth much of anything, but it doesn't hurt to sign up if you're into that sort of thing. Who knows, maybe it will turn into the next bitcoin.

That is kind of what I concluded - I think I will end up signing up for it once I get PTO, as from what I researched, it seems legit. That said, unless something changes massively (1MW = 1 solar coin = ~$0.02 at the moment,) it will pretty much be worthless.
Actually, they will award you solarcoins retroactively for any power you can prove your system produced before signing up with solarcoin. So your ice cream cone is a real possibility if you were a VERY early adopter of solar power.
Anyone seeing SolarCoins getting credited in SunnyPortal? Was signed up in June and it still shows 0.00000 SLR even though data reporting is enabled and have near 10MW production.
