How is it possible in 2020 that Tesla is producing cars that cannot remember what was playing when the car was turned off? Not only which song was playing but the car does not even remember what source was being used? This is not rocket science and should be pretty simple for a software oriented car.

My 2017 MX always picks up right where it left off when I leave. The only issue I have seen is sometimes it skips ahead during a song. Very rarely though.

I use Spotify for my music and it picks up right where I left off in a song or podcast. And it does it no matter what device (other Tesla, Amazon Echo, phone, iPad, etc.) I listening on.

My 2017 X remembers the source and the song...though when I get out of the car and return, the song that was streaming is started from the beginning. I assume that’s normal but honestly have no idea.
