Soundproof/soundeaden MX

Apologies in advance if there is already a forum thread similar to this, but I could only find one for MS
Has anyone successfully sound proofed/sound deadened their MX? Was it worth it? How much did it cost you?
Just looking to achieve a quieter ride with my MX, nothing to drastic or unsafe to the point where we couldn’t hear cars honking/sirens or the like.

People have done it to S, but sadly there's not a lot of info. What you'd want to do is use sound deadening material like Dynamat and apply it to all the door panels, wheel wells, and ideally, the floor itself. It's a lot of work and probably best left to auto specialists, but DIY would save a ton of money. It would add some weight since these materials are dense, and they need to be firmly applied to the surface with little to no trapped air in order to work as designed.

It would definitely work, even if you just applied it just to wheel wells, but there are other sources of noise, including potentially bad seals, different wheels/tires, etc., that may have more impact. Each case is different.

Yes I agree. I don't mind spending a bit of cash, especially since we do a lot of road trips. Being able to use a more "indoor voice" while going at 75 mph would really be something that would make a big difference while driving. There isn't a lot to complain about with a Tesla, so at this point I really am nitpicking. Just wondering if it had been done, because I would really really hate to mess something up with DIY.

If anyone knows anything about it, or knows someone anywhere in the houston/dallas/san antonio/austin area that is familiar with Teslas and soundproofing, please let me know. I'd really appreciate it. I truly am willing to drive to any/all of those cities for it :)

Most aftermarket car stereo shops can install Dynamat. That being said I dont think it will help much at highway speeds. Most of the noise at speed is wind noise on the Model X transmitted through the huge glass windows.
