Source for OBD cable?

Well believe it or not, I received a package in the mail from IdeaFab yesterday! I checked the tracking number and see that the postal service did not receive the package until 12/10. Very strange, but be on the lookout for a cable in the FS forum.

Model S for $16 (2012 to current, 2 different cables depending on year)
Model X for $16
Model 3 2018 for $30
Model 3 2019 for $30

Shipping is $10

Where are the cables on that site?

I ordered a cable from GPSAmerica on May 3rd. I have never seen it and, I did not notice the NO TRACKING listed with the $10 shipping option. They don't sound like they will be offering me anything. So, looks like I am looking for a new supplier. Where is the Maxwell Automotive you folks have referenced? Not finding it on Google right away.

Thank you. Is that the cable for a model 3? What I have seen elsewhere is more of a T with the OBD connector spliced into the Tesla canbus. This looks different. I sent them an email.

I ordered my cable from Ideafab 10 days ago. No shipping notification & no reply to 3 emails so far. I guess I’ll have to order from GPS Tracking America & dispute the credit card charge...

Hate to revive a old thread but if someone is looking for an OBD cable I would not recommend IdeaFab either.

Ordered a cable from Ideafab on 5/5/21 and now 20 days later still haven't received a shipping email or the product. I paid with paypal and got charged almost instantly. Going to give it to the end of the week and then ask for a refund.

I am going through exactly the same process. Frustrating. I did receive a shipping email with tracking number, but the tracking number never updated.

Thanks for the links. I need another cable since a Tesla tech cut my first link cable and kept the Tesla connector end when he came out to my house to replace the steering gear bolts. He was nice enough, though, to tuck the remaining cable back into place so I wouldn't immediately notice his vandalism.

What did he say when you brought it up to Tesla Service?

Yes I still have them. I am not sure if it works on the 2015 plus Model S. I have a 2013

I believe the connectors are different. That's why there are different cables for sale. The new refreshed 2021 Model S also has a different connector.
