SpaceX’s Starlink Systems Are Being Sent to Ukraine’s Destroyed Cities

Amid the Russian-Ukraine crisis, SpaceX and Elon Musk are currently shipping more Starlink routers to Ukraine, as tweeted by Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the Ukrainian president. Starlink is the “only non-Russian communications system still working in some parts of Ukraine,” as stated by Elon.

In addition, SpaceX is currently prioritizing cyber defense as “some Starlink terminals near conflict areas were being jammed for several hours at a time.”

Hopefully, Elon is not tipping their hand too far by publicly announcing that SpaceX is working around Russian jamming! It would be unfortunate if this attracts additional Russian attention toward Ukrainian Starlink users. I suppose the Russian leaders would eventually figure this out, anyway.

Well, it's obvious they would. I expect the peak power reduction to power from 12V was also prompted by use in Ukraine.
