NASA just updated their TV schedule for today. Hoping to get the green light to launch with news coming @ 1 p.m. EDT.

2:15 p.m. – SpaceX Demo-2 Virtual Crew Engagement (All Channels)

The F9 static fire is also scheduled to occur this afternoon @ 4:33 p.m. EDT.

SpaceX just tweeted that the static fire has been completed. And the NASA review today concluded that there are no issues or obstacles to the launch.

I think the only issue is the weather.

That bit about the celebratory thing makes a lot of sense to me. That capsule is not exactly a well balanced boat. It is bobbing and weaving big time in the water...

Man, both astronauts were pretty sure they were going to be seasick bobbing in the ocean during recovery. These are guys that deal with months of weightlessness! Is it the combo of ocean bobbing and gravity that makes it sure they are going to be doing some celebratory vomiting?

As one that gets seasick on a teacup... I agree that a 3G ‘thump’ on propulsive landing would be my preference!

History Channel is doing a live show of the launch on Wednesday. Just saw a cool commercial featuring a Falcon 9 and highlighting the SpaceX logo for the show.

Monday's Launch Readiness Review was a success. DM-2 got the official "go".

Tomorrow's weather forecast indicates conditions could be improving. By the afternoon there's a diminishing chance of rain and thunderstorms. Launch odds have flipped from a 60% rules violation to 60% acceptable.

I think by early Wednesday we'll hear what the crew has chosen to christen their capsule. Sticking with the dragon theme, I prefer something bold and found "Pendragon". Wiki explains, "Chief-Dragon" or "Head-Dragon", but in a figurative sense, "chief of warriors". Although I suppose the actual name is likely be a little less menacing.
