Another complete success. Very cool moment where the clouds were lit up by the booster coming in to land.

Kind of late for me to be up but couldn’t resist. Smooth launch and nice nightime liftoff. Always amazing to see Stage 1 returns.

I always love seeing the Merlin engine shots which are especially cool at night.

I think they said docking was sometime around 5pm-ish ET.

No. They move around. They probably strap in for sleep time though.

It was nice to watch Harrison Schmitt being interviewed by NASA this early morning while he was there for the launch. A geologist as well. Not many living astronauts who’ve been to the moon left. He looked good and was very happy to be there to watch the launch with his wife.

Interesting factoid — he said he was allergic to moon dust, and a flight surgeon handling their suits after the return trip also had a reaction to it. Harrison Schmitt, the last man to walk on the Moon, was allergic to Moon dust—warns others may be too

According to the above Newsweek article a study of it by scientists “found lunar dust caused cell death and DNA damage to lung cells”. Wonder if that will hold true for other bodies like Mars.
