Considering how the headers tanks have been part of the challenges they’ve had so far, good idea to test this possible new design (SN15 is a like a new “block”).
Any update on when the next flight will occur since it was cancelled last week? Is SpaceX twitter the best place to keep track of these Starship launches?
Not really. I watched NSF and EA livestreams too. They hung in there longer to confirm there was no post landing boom but the visuals of the launch and landing were about the same. With SpaceX you got to see the Raptors in action at times.
So cool. To think they plan for hundreds, each capable of launching the current capacity of Russia or China or the US or EU. And each can be sent back to space in a day or two.
Yes they finally get to tear one apart. Lots to learn on those engines I'd think. I'd say that SpaceX is now getting serious about the starship as fewer details are coming out compared to past efforts. It is without a doubt the single most ambitious space effort since the moon missions and frankly, much more ambitious and well thought out than those. Perhaps the benefit of having something other than geo political cold war power struggle driving the effort. Anyway, well done all ye spacexers
