SpaceX’s Transporter-2 mission conducted a successful launch and land Wednesday.
After being delayed for six days, a Falcon 9 rocket carrying 88 satellites launched from Cape Canaveral at 3:31 pm ET. The mission was SpaceX’s second dedicated smallsat rideshare mission for customers including NASA and the Pentagon’s Space Development Agency to communications companies.
The Falcon 9 booster used Wednesday, B1060, made its eighth flight in 12 months. The mission was SpaceX’s 20th orbital launch of 2021. The company set a record last year for launches with 26 and will likely far exceed that this year.
