I did a knock off of a plan I found ..someplace. Will have to look. Was not difficult to figure out, as it attaches to the cross over bar behind the back seats. I will look.
yes, access to sub trunk, does not interfere with seats, it does not need the curved elements, ply was quality furniture grade, baltic birch mulitply, oak cross pieces. I use the largest turnbuckles that would fit, added lock nuts!!

For something like this, will it interfere with putting a flat full size tire in the car if you do happen to need to use the spare tire?

No, is your trunk is empty, other than tire support rack, one will fit.
