Speaker Dead or ?

Just replaced my cabin air filter on my Performance 3. That worked out fine but I noticed there was no audio coming from the speaker that is on the panel that must be removed to access the filters. I checked it with my oscilloscope and there is no audio going to that speaker. My stereo sounds good but a speaker that is not used does not sound right. Any ideas?

I'm not sure there is anything that is supposed to come out of that speaker aside from possibly some chimes or other vehicle based information. I've had all of the "normal" front speakers unhooked and had no sound coming from that individual driver.

That thought had occurred to me, that they route system/warning audio via a completely different path. I wish I had thought of it while I had the scope attached though. I may stick my head down there and listen when I get the normal garage proximity alerts. Thanks!

Tesla calls the speaker under the dash an emergency speaker.
