Tesla has now added the Carbon Fiber Spoiler to its online Shop. Up to now they have been very strict in selling them only with new P Models. Might it be possible that they have to many of them and can't use them any longer since a redesigned Model S is being released soon? ... or wishful thinking

Or, they realized they are missing out on potential easy revenue.

Hey, Joe.... we have too many of those silly spoilers. Put 'em in the store and see if you can move 'em out!

This would be my guess also. Makes sense to go with the X's spoiler design.

Adaptive spoiler available only for S-P90D or higher! Tesla wants to sell as many high priced cars it can swing out of your pocket. Not a bad business idea.

For $1,500, I might as well just upgrade to the P. I think I'm going to get one off eBay

I don't see the spoiler option in the design studio or the Shop Tesla section. Where is it on the website?

I just bought one off of eBay for under $300 with shipping. I hope the fit and look are good. Wish me luck!

most (if not all) of the ebay ones seems to have a slight gap on the driver side from warpage. I can see it but I don't mind much about it. But if you are a perfectionist then spend the $1500.

The spoiler is not of particularly high quality. I just had mine replaced by service because the carbon fiber pattern was being worn off revealing white fiberglass or plastic underneath... worn off by the wind!

I have the one from ebay and agree with Steph280. I do have a slight gap...it bothers me but nobody else sees it. I may wait until the summer, remove it, and try to use a heat gun to get in in place better.

It says you have to include your VIN and have it delivered through a service center. I wonder if they are controlling sales to "P" versions thorough VIN verification - and they are tired of doing the factory install on them like what happened with the dual charger option.
