There is clearly a hump on the dash for an instrument cluster.

Don't read anything into those renders. It might have that hump, but also Elon had repeatedly said it won't and thus could just be a quick-n-dirty 3D model with a basic "it's a car" interior.

If the dashboard is such a State Secret, they certainly wouldn't reveal it to a mere graphics artist so he could do his render of a Supercharger concept. I think some artistic license comes into play here.

Yep exactly. Most of these renders start with stock items and then are modified. Accuracy of the dash is completely unimportant to that render, so I doubt it is going to be a 100% accurate render.

What is more telling is that none of the recent RC pictures show a dash hump.

I've got an analog speedometer and two GPS displays in my Roadster, and frequently none of them agree.
