Speed up update from app?

I know how you can skip the 2/3 minute countdown for an upgrade in the car by tapping the countdown impatiently.

Is there a way to do that from the app?

I tried and could find a way to skip the count down.

We don't think there's a way. Theoretically, you can skip the countdown if you are in the car because you are actually in the car and know nobody else is about to use it. When installing remotely, you don't know if another driver is about to use the car so it sends a notification to all devices on the account and gives others the two minute warning. If someone is in the car or on their device, they can abort the install, if necessary.

As far as I know, you have to be in the car to skip the 2-minute countdown timer.

Yeah, I don’t think there is a way as they want the person in the car to have a chance to abort if needed as was said. Having a remote user able to force immediate install would be, um, bad.

And if you are not on the car why does the 2 minutes faster matter.bnot like the update install times are accurate and you can plan to leave at 7:45 instead of 7:47 if you had just been able to skip the countdown remotely.

No, but you trade convenience here instead. Tap "Update" and carry on with whatever you were doing before.

Safety and so app isn’t allowed that. 2 mins is quick wait in my books.

Agree on all fronts. Never thought about the chance that somebody was in the car. Makes sense.

I just love the 'speed up' tap in the car. And I also love the upgrade option from the app. Was trying to Voltron them into something even more awesome.
