Our car was recently detailed at SpeedFreak detailing in northern Virginia. He had another customer come and shoot some professional video of the car and I thought it might be interesting to share:

    Looks great!

But, wow, those before photos at the end - Yikes! What were you washing with before you took it in for detailing? A dry sponge soaked in salt?? :) Sooo many swirls!

I highly recommend the "two bucket wash technique" as espoused on autopia.org and other detailing forums to maintain your newly restored, gorgeous finish.

    EarlyAdopter,

Thanks for the reply. :) Let me just say that the car was purchased as a demo, and as a result of damage during delivery it was repaired at a Tesla selected body shop and then detailed.

I recommend the two bucket method as well, and if you are purchasing a car new, request that no detailing be done prior to delivery, but instead take it straight to your favorite detailer for OptiCoat, Modesta, or whatever your preferred coating, as well as whatever level of film you want (I used SunTek, which like XPEL is self-healing).
