My Tivo picked it up (have it set for "Tesla")

A must see episode. Tesla gets great coverage. Very positive and complimentary of the company and car like any "build a car" show.

Finally someone covering the building of en electric motor instead of an ICE. Not as interesting visually with minimal complexity but they give in a good shot. They also build a battery and "transmission" and put it all in a Roadster. While it's not "Ultimate Factories" this is now the best 12 minutes (or so) footage to show people on what goes into building the Roadster.

Oddly much of the driving shots are from the notorious TG episode.

The Model S is mentioned with the usual stock footage.

    Only caught a few mistakes.

Too bad it doesn't have the facts straight on the Volt, saying its gas engine only charges the batteries.

Unfortunately Canadians can view their videos. From the GM web site
"It’s the electric car that really goes the distance. With extended-range capability, the Volt has a total driving range of about 580 kilometres. For the first 40 to 80 kilometres, the vehicle drives gas-free and produces zero tailpipe-emissions by using electricity stored in the battery. When the battery runs low, an engine-generator seamlessly engages to provide electricity, extending the Volt’s driving range by about 500 kilometres. So as your driving distance expands, so do Volt’s innovative capabilities. "

So... of the three cars featured in this video, the Tesla Roadster is the only one that doesn't burn liquid fuel and produce emissions.
